GENERAL MANAGER – KZN

Commencement: January 2027

AA Spice is seeking an experienced, hands-on General Manager to provide strong operational and commercial leadership across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations and lead the senior management team, ensuring departmental accountability, KPI achievement and operational discipline.
  • Coordinate Production, Quality/FSMS, Procurement, Warehousing, Logistics, Sales, Finance and supporting functions.
  • Drive operational performance, productivity, planning, problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  • Manage staffing, performance and departmental follow-through, maintaining a visible presence within the factory.
  • Oversee Sales performance, customer visits, pipelines, quotations, new-business development and existing account growth.
  • Monitor dormant and declining accounts, ensure timely follow-up on samples and opportunities, and address Sales underperformance.
  • Ensure effective coordination between Sales, NPD, Production, Quality and Finance.
  • Provide meaningful operational, commercial and KPI reporting to Directors.

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven General Management, Operations Management or comparable senior-management experience, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Strong leadership, people-management, operational and commercial capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive accountability, manage KPIs and improve performance.
  • Food-manufacturing experience will be highly advantageous.
